Responsive Website Design

A Responsive Design Website utilises a fluid layout that can adapt, (or respond), according to the screen size of the device the viewer is using.

Put simply a responsive website is a single website that adapts to the screen size of the device used by the visitor, whether desktop, smartphone, or tablet. Therefore providing an optimal browsing experience for the end user—easy viewing and navigation of the website with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling.

A responsive website dynamically re-sizes its content and imagery for a variety of different screen sizes in order to ensure the website is effective and easy to navigate on any device. Utilising responsive web design provides a better user experience and ensures that exploring your business is user friendly on all devices.

Research currently shows that over 40% of all internet searches are now conducted via a mobile device or smartphone and this is projected to surge over the next three years to around 75%.

Google prefers responsive design websites and ranks them more highly in the search results. How does your current website appear when you view it on a tablet or smartphone?
